For M‑Files customers and partners

# M‑Files, built around the way you work

When M‑Files does not fit how your team works, we build the part that is missing, for your own vault or for a customer's. We make M‑Files add-ons of our own too, and were named M‑Files Solution Partner of the Year 2025.

## From one better screen to a whole vault

A job can be one screen shaped around a task, or a whole vault set up for a line of work, for customers and partners alike.

### Figures at a glance

Managers see the figures they ask for on a dashboard in M‑Files, and each chart opens the records behind it.

### Screens for the task

We shape the screen around the job in hand, so a reviewer sees the steps to follow beside the fields to fill in.

### Work from Microsoft 365

People keep working on documents in Teams, OneDrive or SharePoint, and M‑Files manages them in the background.

### Other systems connected

We connect M‑Files to Elements.cloud and integrate it with other systems, so figures from an ERP system can sit beside the records in the vault.

### Workflows that fit

We add the functionality your workflows and fields need, and make it configurable, so it can change when your procedure does.

### A vault to start from

We deliver pre-configured vault templates and workflows for a line of work, so a team begins with a working setup and adjusts it from there.

## What happens after you describe the job

A job runs in four steps, from your first message to the day people start using what we built.

1. ### You describe what you need

    You

Tell us, in your own words, what people should be able to do and where they get stuck today. We ask about the rest.

2. ### We propose how to build it

    CtrlDocs

We come back with how we would build it, including any part that one of our products or M‑Files configuration already covers.

3. ### We build it, you try it

    CtrlDocs and your team

You try what we built and tell us what to change before it goes into daily use.

4. ### It goes into your vault

    Your administrator

We agree with your administrator when the work goes into your vault.

5. ### It is part of your M‑Files now

What you described in the first step now works in your vault, alongside the rest of your M‑Files.

## Judge us by what we have already built

We make our own add-ons for M‑Files, and each one is a kind of work we can do for your vault or your customer's. [See them all](https://ctrldocs.com/products/).

### CtrlPortals

Dashboards and UI that make M‑Files yours

Record pages, forms, boards and dashboards inside M‑Files, set up around your own records for any process. Open a project, a customer or a document and see everything that belongs to it.

### CtrlShare

Co-author in Office on any M‑Files, cloud or on-premise

Open an M‑Files document for colleagues and outside parties to edit together, in desktop Office or the browser. It comes back to M‑Files as a new version.

See CtrlShare](https://ctrldocs.com/products/ctrlshare/) [### CtrlScout

AI for your M‑Files vault, cloud or on-premise

Ask your M‑Files vault in plain words. CtrlScout finds the records, counts and charts them, summarises documents, drafts the email and suggests the details for a new document. It only sees what you can see.

## Tell us what you need built

Describe what people should be able to do in M‑Files, and we'll tell you how we would build it. We answer the same working day.

Or write to sales@ctrldocs.com, or call +45 32 74 65 44.

## Before you ask us to build something

Do you work for other M‑Files partners?

Yes. Solution Management in Copenhagen, an authorised M‑Files reseller and an Elements.cloud reseller, sells our products and calls us its development partner. If you are a partner with a customer who needs something built for M‑Files, talk to us about it.

Can you add to one of your own products?

First we check whether configuration covers it. CtrlPortals dashboards, portals and plots are all set up in M‑Files Admin, and the texts in CtrlShare can all be changed. Where configuration stops, we tell you what building the rest would involve.

Do you connect M‑Files to systems outside Microsoft 365?

Yes, we integrate M‑Files with other systems as well. CtrlPortals, for example, reads Microsoft SQL Server alongside the vault, which is how figures from an ERP system reach a dashboard. Tell us which system you have in mind.

Can you connect M‑Files and Elements.cloud?

Yes. We are an Elements.cloud partner, and two of our products already do it. CtrlProcesses brings Elements process maps into M‑Files, and CtrlDocs for Elements publishes approved documents from M‑Files to the Elements URL library.

What does it cost, and how long does it take?

Both depend on what is being built, so we agree them with you job by job. If one of our products already covers the need, you can try it for 30 days first.

How does it get into our vault?

We agree with your administrator when it goes in. It is installed in M‑Files Admin as a vault application.

Can we see your work before we decide?

Yes. We demonstrate the products that fit, and help set up a demo environment so you can try them yourself. Each product page also shows the product at work.
