Add-ons that make M‑Files do more
Each add-on takes on one job in M‑Files, such as showing a manager the figures or writing a document together with a customer. Several of them work together, so you can start with one and add the next when you need it.

CtrlPortals
Dashboards and UI that make M‑Files yours
Record pages, forms, boards and dashboards inside M‑Files, set up around your own records for any process. Open a project, a customer or a document and see everything that belongs to it.
See CtrlPortals
CtrlShare
Co-author in Office on any M‑Files, cloud or on-premise
Open an M‑Files document for colleagues and outside parties to edit together, in desktop Office or the browser. It comes back to M‑Files as a new version.
See CtrlShareCtrlScout
AI for your M‑Files vault, cloud or on-premise
Ask your M‑Files vault in plain words. CtrlScout finds the records, counts and charts them, summarises documents, drafts the email and suggests the details for a new document. It only sees what you can see.

Show your people how the work is done, inside M‑Files
Your Elements.cloud process maps inside M‑Files. Every step leads to its procedure, the record it produces and the standards that apply.

CtrlTeams
Microsoft Teams, governed from M‑Files
Start a project in M‑Files and its team in Microsoft Teams is ready, with the right people in it and your folders and templates in place. What they write there is kept in M‑Files.

CtrlSync
Teams and SharePoint, filed with metadata and rights
People work in Teams or SharePoint, and the documents you want kept are copied to M‑Files with metadata, filed under their project with the access rights preserved.

CtrlConnect
M‑Files details, right inside Teams and Outlook
An M‑Files link pasted into Teams or Outlook shows the record's title and description, and in Teams it comes with buttons that open the record. You can also search M‑Files from the Teams chat, on a phone too.

CtrlTime
Time tracking where the work happens
Record hours in a calendar inside M‑Files, on the customer or project they belong to. Approved weeks feed payroll, invoicing and project follow-up.

FancyLinks
M‑Files links with the details built in
M‑Files links that show which document and which version they point to, and open it directly. Free to use.
See FancyLinksHow the add-ons fit together
A few of the add-ons are built on another add-on or appear inside one, which is worth knowing before you choose where to start.
Time tracking built on CtrlPortals
CtrlTime is built on CtrlPortals, the add-on that puts dashboards, boards and forms inside M‑Files. Its time calendar, weekly timesheet and reports are all made with CtrlPortals, so CtrlTime needs a CtrlPortals subscription.
A co-authoring button in the Teams chat
CtrlShare lets colleagues and outside parties edit an M‑Files document together in OneDrive. CtrlConnect brings M‑Files search into a Teams chat, and a pasted link shows the record's details. With both, a document that is open in OneDrive gets a co-authoring button in the chat.
Project teams set up from M‑Files and archived there
CtrlTeams sets up a project's team and channels from its record in M‑Files, with the right members, folders and templates, and the team's documents are synchronised to M‑Files. CtrlSync archives any team or SharePoint site you connect, with or without CtrlTeams: every later change is saved as a new version, and the documents stay when the team is deleted.
Processes drawn in Elements, followed in M‑Files
CtrlProcesses brings the process maps drawn in Elements.cloud into the vault. People click a step and open the procedure or the view behind it, or create the record the step calls for. CtrlDocs for Elements runs the other way: a procedure approved in M‑Files is published as a PDF to the Elements.cloud URL library, where it replaces the old link.
When you need more than an add-on

VisualQMS
VisualQMS is Solution Management's pre-configured quality management system on M‑Files and Elements.cloud, for when documents, processes, audits and training belong in one place. It works with several of our add-ons.

CtrlDocs for Elements
CtrlDocs for Elements adds controlled documents to Elements.cloud. Procedures are reviewed and approved in M‑Files, with reminders and electronic signatures, and Elements.cloud always links to the latest approved version.

If none of our add-ons does the job you have in mind, we develop it for your vault: an addition to the M‑Files interface, or an integration with a system you already run.
